TalkSPORT’s Sam Matterface believes David Moyes should quit Sunderland if he doesn’t get the signings he wants this month.

Here’s what he said this morning.

If Ellis Short and Martin Bain, the owner and chief executive of Sunderland, fail to deliver the recruits that are required in the next 48 hours David Moyes should quit immediately.

The Scotsman took the Sunderland job believing he would be treated better at the Stadium of Light than he felt he was in his short spell at Old Trafford, but it turns out that assumption was wrong.

He wanted Ronaldo, Bale and Fabregas at United, but didn’t get any of them. At Sunderland his targets were understandably modest, Yann M’Villa from Rubin Kazan for example.

However, after following the tradition at Sunderland of signing loans, free transfers and players other clubs did not really want it was soon clear the little money he was promised was being withdrawn. There’s no £15million war chest afford to his predecessor last January.
